Our Mission
Our Parish Religious Education Program assists parents in handing down the Catholic faith and forming lifelong Disciples of Jesus Christ.
Assisting Parents
We take this mission very seriously but know that we cannot do this alone. We are here to assist families, with the assumption that faith is primarily being practiced in the home.
We are the community the family belongs to which helps lead them to a deeper relationship with the Church and ultimately Jesus Christ.
Our program is meant to help prepare children in grades 1-8 to not only receive the sacraments but to develop moral integrity, and respect for the Church and community, become real Catholic examples to the world, and live out their faith as Christ intends us to. Parents are the special ingredient to the success of our program. Some fo the activities and events that happen in the program cannot be successful without parental support both at home and here at St. Colunbkill.
Expectations:
Faithful weekend Mass attendance and faithful weekly attendance at PREP class is expected. Home-schooling students, too, are to faithfully attend weekend Mass and turn in chapter tests following the syllabus provided.
Registration fees:
Numerous Adult Religious Education Programs are offered on a regular basis in our Parish. We see adult education as key to the development of faith for our parish families.
