This school year marks the 41st year that Saint Columbkill Preschool has offered quality education to children in Boyertown, PA, and the surrounding area.
Our program provides learning experiences that are age and developmentally-appropriate.
Currently, classes run from Labor Day week until the end of May. We are offering two separate classes that meet two or three days a week for the 3-year-olds with approximately 10 children per class and two separate classes that meet three or five days a week for the 4-year-olds in both a.m. and p.m.
Also offering a 5-day week transitional kindergarten class and twice weekly class for 2-year-olds. Each class is staffed with one certified teacher and one aide, all of whom have state police background clearance.
The preschool curriculum encompasses the social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development of each child while following the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards. Our program also includes monthly physical education classes led by YMCA instructors. Our holiday parties (Halloween, Valentine's Day, and Easter) offer an opportunity for all of the classes to interact with one another. Each class presents a Christmas Program for the parents. Mid-year parent conferences are held for each child. In addition to our annual field trip, we try to incorporate several additional special activities each year, which will be subject to resource and parent availability. Past examples included a Teddy Bear Hospital and handwashing clinic, a dental hygienist presentation, and fire safety and police programs.
